Krystal Marie Ball (born November 24, 1981) is an American political commentator. She was previously a candidate for the US Senate and a TV presenter at MSNBC. She was also a frequent contributor on The Huffington Post and co-host of The Hill’s Rising alongside Saagar Enti. Enjeti and Ball made it clear that they would leave the show in the month of May 2021 in order to launch Breaking Points, a new independent venture with Krystal as well as Saagar. Ball hosts Krystal Kyle & Friends' podcast along with Kyle Kulinski. She has made guest appearances on networks like CNN, CNBC, Fox News as well as programs like Real Time with Bill Maher. Ball is married to Jonathan Dariyanani since 2020. Ball attributes her continued fascination with politics to her experiences as a new mom during the 2008 primaries. She also watched the US presidential election from Jordan as she was working in Jordan. She observed how it affected the people of Jordan and thereby gained an appreciation for the global impact of US politics. She was a Senior Fellow of the New Leaders Council. Ball was the Democratic Party candidate for Congress in Virginia's 1st district. She lost to Rob Wittman in 2010. From June 2012 to July 2015, she was the co-host of The Cycle on MSNBC. She launched the People's House Project in May 2017 to help Democratic causes.
